Big Time Toys
Big Times Toys is a toy company based in Tennessee, United States, which was the fourth licensee of the Sea-Monkey brand from 2007 until 2017.
Big Time Toys became the new licensee for the Sea-Monkey brand in June of 2007, after Educational Insights’ time with the brand ended sometime unknown to us earlier that year. Under Big Time Toys, the Sea-Monkeys brand would end up seeing a lot of carelessness & business mismanagement from the parties involved, which would end up setting in motion a legal battle between Yoland Signorelli (widow of the creator of Sea-Monkeys, Harold von Braunhut) & Big Time Toys.

During the Big Time Toys period, the majority of Sea-Monkey products distributed & manufactured consisted of kits already created and/or introduced by the former licensee, with not much innovation happening.
In the early years of their acquisition & transition, product packaging designed by their former licensee, Educational Insights, continued to be used by BTT; this helps us identify many kits that were created by Educational Insights, but tend to get misattributed to BTT. Eventually, BTT introduced its own packaging design, which mainly featured the Sea-Monkey nuclear family seen in the old comic ads.
